Making Connections is a parent led support network for families in the Huntsville area. The group strives to improve the lives of the 1 in 150 individuals affected by ASD in partnership with the Autism Society of Alabama. We are making connections with parents and professionals by providing monthly meetings with professional speakers on topics of interest and need for our families, a website with local resources, upcoming events and a Q-Answer forum for parents and professionals. We also offer monthly family outings and a mentoring program. We have recently established a lending library in partnership with Huntsville Public Library!
We meet one Saturday each month at Faith Presbyterian Church at the corners of Whitesburg and Airport Roads from 3:00 – 4:30 and provide free childcare (reservations required) on site during the meetings. We provide our families and professionals the opportunity to network and learn from each other.
Meetings are free and open to the public.
