Topic: Getting Our Kids Ready to Transition Back to School
Speaker: Nancy Barnes, Autism Specialist, Huntsville City Schools
Mrs. Barnes will give us many helpful hints on making the transition of going back to school easier for our special angels (and us parents!) and will also be bringing her laptop with “Handwriting with Symbols” and will help you write a personalized social story that you can print and read to your child to help with that transition.
Child care will be provided by reservation only, on a first come, first served basis dependent upon the number of volunteers we can get. We will start taking child care reservations for this meeting on Friday, July 24 at 8am. To make reservations for child care, please call Debbie at 885-5959 and leave your name, phone number, name,age,diagnosis and name and ages of any siblings that require care. Debbie will call you back to confirm.
